hoping i got it winterized properly. i ran it to temp, then ran rv antifreeze through it, then pulled the drain plugs and blew out the heater core. i didn’t:
pull the impeller
fog the cylinders
change any fluids.
we’ll see come spring!

I replace my Impeller every year cheap insurance against overheating.

Swap the lower end oil. Any water in the fluid will probably sepa rate and could cause rust on the inside.
Do people really pull the impeller?

I’m on a 3-4 year schedule when I do mine.

I’ve never done this one, but its only 2 seasons old to us. I plan on doing it in the spring.

Very cool. I’ve ridden a lot of boats, never been behind a Centurion. I love the batwing look of their new towers.

I’ve don’t do any of those things on your list either (nor have I ever ran rv/antifreeze through the cooling system while it is running. I’m not sure how I could add it fast enough to not c avi tate the impeller in our case, shor t of buying a 52 gallon barrel of it ) , although our boat likely won’t see below single digits on occasion this winter. I’ve always changed fluids in the spring, and I fog it to a stall on the ramp when it is hauled out for the year (and then drain it in the parking lot before the 150 mile tow home for the winter ).
I’ve fogged the cylinders before, but engine access on half the cylinders makes doing so a 2-3 hour long exercise in contortion-ism that just isn’t worth it. The 454 in my boat hasn’t seemed to have any issues from not fogging cylinders. I figure it isn’t that it isn’t very humid in New Mexico over the winter (or ever), and our off season is fairly short anyway. We’ll pull it out end of October/early November, and it will back in the water by early March.

you’d be surprised about the antifreeze, it only drank about 4 gallons before it was fully pink out the pipes. didn't take more than a minute but it didn't take a ton

I do add a bit of antifreeze to the engine oil cooler supply hose that runs under the engine and had a low spot that doesn’t drain short removing a bracket under the engine to remove the hose.. The shop manual doesn’t actually call for running antifreeze through freshwater-cooled models like ours , nor does it mention the impeller (although I’ve heard of people doing that). RV antifreeze does get added to the sink. The port-a-pottie lives in the garage over the winter.
